Wiring for LED spots

I have the standard BMW front LED aux lights on my 2013 F800GSA. I am trying to add a modulator to the lights, but I am having trouble locating the wiring. I have tracked the wires back from the light unit to what appears to be the space just behind the battery. Is this right? I have a Haynes wiring diagram for the bike, but the aux lighting is not shown. Does anyone know the wire colours?
