Part of ERS (Equity Red Star)
Just renewed with them last week after 20 years with CN and Aviva (Norwich Union)
CN have been getting increasingly expensive - this year's renewal was £725 up from about the normal £450-£500 for 5 bikes (incl some higher risk off road bikes) for a rural post code and o50's rider and a 20 year NCD
Bit salty, so haggled back down to about £560, after a few calls (= waste of my time)
Worst thing was a new CN/Aviva clause about being garaged at home address whilst unattended - not just the usual 10pm-6am garaging clause and they wouldn't budge on it - so watch it on your policies !!!!
Someone here recommended RH so called them and what a breath of fresh air - people who you could converse with, plus senior underwriters who would call and email you to discuss and confirm mods etc
Sensible insurance - no asking for pillion cover - if a bike had provision for a pillion then of course you can take one - no charge
Garaging between 10pm-6am only
All mods listed on the policy schedule on full and fitting stuff like replacement suspension was ok
Premium was sensible - similar to CN £550 but the quality of the insurance was infinitely superior and still included full uk and Europe breakdown and legal cover
Only downside is they will only cover you on a modern bike if you also have an older bike (over 15 years old) on the policy as well - so they just won't cover just modern bikes on their own
