I am looking to remove the servo and ABS from my 2003 .... I am happy to leave the pump etc in place but just bypass it
Am I right in saying that I only have to connect the brakes in the usual manner and all will work ok with no wiring mods ?

Yes and No, To be honest I never looked into what happens when you pull the relay etc i.e. do the servos still run

There are some photos here of what I do when i am removing one

You are better off removing the Servo, it weighs quite a bit and loosing that weight from undertank does make the bike a bit less top heavy.
The method of pinching the PCB and connector from the unit saves all the pain. No point leaving it in. It leaves you space for relays for additional lights, charging sockets, xied's etc.

If you dont use the pcb, you need to hash wires/change the brake switch etc on the rear to get it to work.

Before you go ripping it to bits, contact your insurance company and see if it will affect your insurance.

I had a fault come up on mine and eventually traced it down to a faulty rear wheel sensor, once replaced it worked as it should.
