Zumo 550 fixed!!!!!
Despite all the advice (thanks to all) nothing worked. After speaking with Garmin, was asked to send it too them. Bearing in mind I bought this unit used from this site, I sent it Monday, Garmin confirmed its arrival Tuesday, informed me Wednesday that a replacement was on its way which arrived Friday at no charge!!! Thanks to all and a big thank you to Garmin. Here's hoping for better luck with this unit......
