Well nearly, couple of days early but near enough!! Set off 8am saturday morning for a nights camping on the Mull of Kintyre, never been down the peninsula before so good a time as any for a visit.
What a place for a breakfast stop ;D

Fed and watered at the Rest and be thankful , I press on and enjoy the twisty roads down to Killeguer campsite just off the A83 and right on the beach, sun is shining and I quickly pitch tent then set of to explore.
What a view!

Head down to Mull of Kintyre lighthouse , but a locked gate and a 15 mile round trip back to where I was heading and due to being parched also, put paid any plans to visit, maybe another time, so detour via Southend to Campbeltown where the very lovely bluebell cafe served lovely food and drink.

Campbeltown harbour and cinema.

Back to campsite and try my new vango stove out , well pleased and packs down to nothing , the gas canister is 3 times the size!!
Do a little walking along the deserted beach and take a few snaps , then chill in the sun , few drinks and a book, life's good 8)

Have a great nights sleep , with the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks quite calming !!
Sunday a different day with drizzle and mist, which starts to clear , so opt for the East side home up to Tarbet, unfortunately mist failed to lift much so no chance of any decent photographs.
Definitely return though , as some lovely little bays and quiet roads to explore.
Cheers Baz :D

Most enjoyable thanks....

So we wild camping next year. ... best buy me a tent...
