Any advantage in using a class 6 4Gb SD card in the 550. Have one I got with my camera just swapped for 8GB C6 card so have it spare. Been using a class4 2gb in it at moment.

Wouldn't think so.
You need a fast card for digital photography so it can save as much info as fast as possible to stop it backing up the camera's buffer....I can't see that happening in a GPS device, even with the most up to date live camera feed of traffic queues...the limit will be in data download, not in storage rate.
