Morning Folks,

As title says, was after a fork brace for my RS. Do I go for the Telefix model, aka pair of rigid handcuffs between said forks, or the tubular model that is like a piece of scaffolding over the front mudguard? In other words, is one better than the other?

The one of the front mudguard looks more in period - I don’t know if it actually was a factory option back in the day?

Thank you.

None were factory options. I think San Jose may have been the first to offer the double hoop with joining bracket. Telefix will interfere with your fork slider rubbers or gaiters if they are fitted. Be careful when fitting any of them as they may need shimming (with washers) so you don't bend the fork legs (slightly, but enough to upset handling) as you tighten up the fixing bolts.
