G/S wheel rims

My G/S has polished wheel rims i suppose the original anodisation has been poilshed off.

I was just wondering whats the best way to protect them from corrosion , i use it on and aff all winter.

I would prefer the original anodised finish but i suppose that would mean a rebuild ?

Anybody used clearcoat ? Or rimwax ?

I'm sure the G/s were always polished and not anodised. Mine were original on the bike I bought and they polished back up easily and i re spoked them.
not sure what they would have been protected with from new though.
