Garmin zumo xt

I'm looking for a bit of info , going to fit a garmin zumo. Power supply from the cigarette accessory . It's wired thru the ignition. Can I piggyback my zumo from this power supply ?
Ktm 1090 bike
Using double spade connectors.
The zumo power cable is new with an inline power fuse/filter

Power the mount to the bikes battery or a hard wired switched power source instead

Yes you can; power is power is power. It is no different to piggybacking a fuse block off the same switched socket.

You tell us that ‘it’ (presumably the cigarette socket) is wired through the ignition, so the device will power up and down with the bike. That’ll reduce the chances of you flattening your battery.

the accessory socket is a hard wired power source!

the piggy back connectors will be fine for this application
