Hi all! Ive had my bike in bits for a few weeks waiting on some parts. I've gone and put her back together today but am left scratching my head as there's two wiring connectors under the seat that don't fit each other and I don't see anywhere to plug them in. I'm not sure what they connect to??? If anybody has some photos of under the seat of their bikes (and/or knowledge of what these connectors are) I'd really appreciate it.

First one has two pins and comes out of the loom at the same place as the speed sensor cable:

The RepROM is pretty vague on the matter. Closest thing I can find is the On board-socket (2) in the following pic;

The other plug that has me stumped comes out toward the back of the bike near where the lights/indicators connect up:

As mentioned, if anybody can assist with information or photos of their bikes it'd be much appreciated.
Regards,

Forget the 2nd one. On European bikes it does not connect to anything.

The first one looks like its a cable that you have routed incorrectly. It could be the one that plugs in underneath the left side of the airbox near the fuel injection system. No sure what it is called.

Isn't the first one to the aux power socket in the LHS side panel

Thanks guys. My bike doesn't have an aux power socket so I assume this connector was tucked away out of sight under the fuel tank when I removed it.
Anyone know what the connector in the second pic is for on the non Euro bikes?

First photo as mentioned would probably be the auxilary power socket, but it could also be for the side stand switch?

Nah its not for the side stand, I can see that one connected up in place already. I had no idea what the "on-board socket" was when initially looking at the RepROM. That's what BMW obviously call the aux power outlet.

The second one definately goes under the airbox ,near the throttle cable for the for sensor.

No it doesn't mate, the cable isn't in that area. As stated in previous posts the second one is not in use on the European bikes.
