How do I open a zipped file - Importing GPX files for beeline use

I have a small Lenovo tablet that I use with the Beeline app for planning routes etc. works well, but..... If I try to import a gpx File , say from Ride magazines site. It comes as a zipped file and I'm really struggling to find a way of opening the zipped file, finding where to save it to, and then being able to use it. Can anyone offer some simple advice on how to do this kind of thing, or point in the direction of a good tutorial ?

You should download an app called RAR https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rarlab.rar
