Resting the computer

Hi all, ive just removed and re-fitted the battery and the bike is refusing to hold a steady idle, can any one tell me the correct way to reset the computer, think its somthing to do with throttle and ignition

On the R1200GS
1) Disconnect your battery again
2) Wait a minute
3) Reconnect battery
4) Switch on ignition but NOT the engine
5) Cycle the throttle fully a couple of times
6 )Switch off ignition

Doing this resets your throttle position in the memory.
You need to do this each time you disconnect the battery for whatever reason BTW.

RTFM!!

A severe case of RTFM i'm afraid, right where it tells you about disconnecting and re-connecting the battery it tells you in no un-certain terms that you must perform this action....

Still you got there in the end eh...
