Our 2008 new to us F650 800GS's suspension adjuster knob is seized or am I being a numpty as to how to adjust it. Anyone any ideas?

It can be quite stiff to turn. There is a tool under the seat near the tank to assist with the turning - sort of a paddle with two points that fit into two holes located on the front of the knob. Good luck.
Remove the knob, single cross-head screw on top? Clean and lube the adjuster. You can use a spanner to free it off and adjust.

Yes it became better with use! Bloody solid when I started though.
