Where to stay first night ...

I get in to Santander at 17:30 and need somewhere to stay for the first night. I'll have a tent so camping no problem but a B+B would be better.

Any ideas please...

Potes - nice little town and only about 1.5 hours from Santander

Casa Mia. in Potes...................spent a few nights in there

Yep, Potes is good choice. Easy run off the ferry, stayed Hotel Valdecoro 2 nights last year, no English speakers but food/beer was just great. Some other good places..check www.Bookings.com.

Yep I will second that a well Hotel valdecoro through booking.com best deal very good last year.

Thanks all for the suggestions. Looked at Potes but wanted to get a few more miles behind me so staying in a cheapo in Palencia.

Surprisingly busy in most places but got somewhere eventually.

Camping in town or further on Vega Beach
