Choke lever mechanism

Hi All,
On the early Magura airbox style choke lever, how is it fixed to the airbox?
A friend with a nice R60/5 has managed to snap the friction screw, so I need to get it off to help him sort it out?

The counter sunk screw goes through the mech and then through the air box casing with an M6 nut on the inside.

I'll wait until he slits the airbox, and then have a look at what he's done.

Just spoke to him, and whoever built the bike up put a plain nut and a nyloc on the inside of the airbox.
