Started on the winter project today.

Managed to get most of the removal and mock up done.

LOTS of wiring and loom care to do, Fork brackets & dash bracket to make up.

Thought I'd upload if there was any interest. I'm going in blind and first bike I've done any modifications too. Chose a peach I guess.

Yep, interested. I have a 97 one that should probably get that sort of attention, but I'm too busy riding the thing :thumby:

Got the brackets made up today.

Final shaping and indicator mounting holes to do, dash is pretty much done

Most of the wiring roughed in today.

Speed, rpm, oil temp & fuel level sender left.

All OEM switches hooked up and operating; ABS override, Hazards, Heated grips.

ABS light hooked up to a generic warning light on the new dash and working.

Got the front indicators located and operating too.

Err, are you aware that the fork sliders will smack the lower brackets at the first serious road bump?

full 4" of room between bracket and fork stem. hyperpro suspension. shouldn't be an issue ?? the shock would bottom out before it hit the bracket

you can see the marks on the tubes in the second picture where the travel is ending.

ill have to measure the shock travel and maybe end up doing a bit of modification to the brackets if they are going to cause issue.
