BMW Navigator IV hanging / freezing

Hi,

I have a BMW Navigator iv, maps upto date & newest version of software, works until you input a destination and then it freezes, also frezes when you ask it to display maps, I've done factory reset with no good effect.

Hi Ken, i have an old Nav iv too and these are a bit limited in internal memory 4gb. Is it full of maps? I only keep uk and Ireland on mine at the moment. If i was to use it for a European tour I'd load the maps relevant to the routes. Not sure if thats your issue but worth investigating?

The old Nav IV can't cope with full Europe, without a decent memory card- what are you running?

I had a Navigator IV which ‘hung’ / ‘froze’ after many, many miles of use, for no apparent reason. No amount of re-setting or whatever, got it to work. Garmin (not BMW) exchanged it for me, despite it being well out of warranty.
