ADAC - Update
Hi
I realise that it is some time since this was last discussed but as the new season draws nearer and hopefully the weather starts to improve, minds will be wandering to taking the bikes onto the continent for some good motorcycling fun. I have now researched the ADAC deal and for a European wide cover package it seems to be the best out there with excellent reports all round. However, I realise that for many people the thought of calling a foreign country and trying to converse in an unfamiliar language may put many off and cause them to remain with what they have already, despite it costing so much more. I was the same until I came across this article in the link and decided to bite the bullet and make of fool of myself in German.
I phoned them, they spoke excellent English, were really pleased to hear from a UK resident, insisted that they call me back at their expense. I checked out the details and have signed up for the Partner Plus at €98.70 (£85 Appx). That is full cover for both the wife and I, whatever car or bike we are on wherever in Europe, plus cars registered to us are covered driven by anyone authorised to do so...... Ordinary 'Plus' covers the policyholder in the same way for €79.
By the time I had taken out Vehicle Rescue Direct (excellent company mind) Packages for the various bike and Car trips I would make this year to Europe, I will be better off, and I effectively get a full UK package (effectively provided by the AA) for free with even an 0800 number to call them in the UK

Hopefully the link has worked and you can look at it for yourself and decide on if it suits your circumstances, but for me it means one less thing to organise every time I wish to dust down the bike or car and head off across the channel. I know that I am already covered
Plus you get full Worldwide Emergency Medical Repatriation Service for the whole family included, and reading reports this really is the best service you can get.......
I cannot stress how nice the girls in the office were to deal with, really pleasant and and keen to recruit UK members. If anyone does decide to join if you speak to Barbara Lorenz mention me, she is such a laugh
I hope that this is of use to some on here - others I know have already joined up with them (they did ask me to get Barbara to phone them directly though - cowards)
