2021 1250GS Base Model - Headlight always on?

My dealer has just told me that on the bike I've ordered, '21 model R1250GS base specs (no options), the headlight will always be on. It means, the bike has no light sensor to switch the headlight off during a daylight and keep only DRL strip on around the cluster. He said they are both on all the time, DRL strip and Low Beam. He also said if I opted for adaptive headlight then I would have the option to use only DRL strip and Low Beam would come on only in dark. That comes as a standard for Adv model only.
Is it true?
So, what is DRL strip for if Low Beam is on all the time on base model?

Yes and it looks good
Why is it bothering you? Never gave a second thought, personally the combination of both gives better visibility on the road.

Is the adaptive headlight going up and down? Or only a light sensor?
