which ever road vehicle is the "stronger/ more likely" to inflict greater damge is responsible for any damage or accident even if no fault of your own.

my experience: some arsehole didnt have his dog on a lead, it ran straight out into the road from his gate, i had zero chance of avoiding it, my car was damaged, im responsible for all repairs and vet bills even though the law stipulates dogs must be kept on leads just because i am the stronger party.

found out guy at work was waiting at the traffic lights in his car for about 15 secs on a long straight road, cyclist barrels into the back of him - he is responsible and he should have anticipated the movements of the cyclist.


careful on your travels - if you hit anything keep going and dont stop.

...Im glad I'm not the only one! One evening, I was returning from work and came over a mountain road in the fresh snow (about 2" deep - Snow ploughs had not arrived yet..), and wrecked my car (written-off!)...slid it into a forest on a deserted mountain hill-side...next thing I have a fine for about 150 CHF for hitting the tree!

..Go figure
