Happy days, I had the same colour scheme yonks ago, still don't know why I sold the thing. Happy riding.

If your grips are wearing out, can I suggest you do what I did with my old 1200. Cricket bat grip material. Works a treat easy-ish to put on and no one ever noticed. Cheap too. Cricket bat handle grip stuff.

As a fellow owner of both an 1150GS and a 900cc sports bike, it’s a good pairing. I’ve had my ‘blade for 21 years, my GS for 13, I occasionally I consider getting something else but can’t bring myself to part with either of them. Having done some bumpy back roads on the ‘blade yesterday, the GS is definitely better suited to those!
As for inflation, I use a Halfords digital pressure gauge and a Halfords foot pump. I find it’s actually harder to get the pump onto the Fireblade valves because of the size of the discs, but it’s doable.
