TFT anti theft

Recently, I bought an R1250GSA from a seller who included a Cymarc TFT protector with a shade that has not been installed yet. However, I am disappointed with the quality of the finish as it does not meet my expectations, even for an AliExpress product. To prevent rusting, I plan to repaint it. Additionally, the foam that came with it is too short to cover the entire TFT contact area. Can you recommend a suitable foam for this purpose? Thanks!

Odd as my Cymarc one was fine. I suggest eBay for some 1.0mm self adhesive neoprene..
