Ok, so the Grossglockner now costs 22 euros. Which other roads in the area charge tolls and how much?

There are dozens of private roads in the region, most are short runs up to a mountain hut, often the toll booth (or shed as we would call it!) is only manned in the high season-July and August. There are also a number of longer and more interesting roads where the toll charges are always collected,

Nockalmstrasse 8 Euro
Maltahochamstrasse 9 Euro
Villacher Alpinestrasse 8 Euro

All of these plus the Grossglockner are free to our guests (subject to a minimum two nights stay) Included in our price is a national park card for the duration of your stay. Show the card at the tollbooth and you go free-as many times as you like.

There are also lots of good biking roads in every direction that are just part of the public road network. Throw in Slovenia and Italy-both just an hours ride from here- and there is more than enough no matter how long you stay.
