The frame is built to take the XS engine, no oil in frame, and specific engine mounts.

Lovely, I'm in too. I also think the XS motor looks nicer than the Triumph one (burn the heretic) mate had an xs650 back in the day, lovely thing even back then! CheersJohn B
I had a 1980 XS650B new on which I did thousands of trouble free miles - great engine, handling not so good. Should be an ideal set up with a decent chassis. When I sold it I bought a 650 5 speed Bonneville in pieces, not comparable really!
