to SORN or not to SORN

I've bought a 1973 Honda CB350 Four, the V5C says it is a Historic Vehicle already, but it is nowhere near ready for the road yet and so its not insured, so I presume I must SORN it, however (& I've looked on .GOV web site) I'm sure not sure what to when I'm ready to get it on the road, no tax is due, no MOT required, anyone had experience of this when their restoration finally gets on the road? Ta

You do have to tax it, though the rate is £0.00 so i guess you should SORN it if not taxed.

If you've just bought it then SORN it. You can use the green (New Keeper) section of the VC

It's the easiest way of saving yourself an £80 fine
